Emotional Backyard Wedding on Kauaʻi
Keanna & Kaleo are such a lovely couple who’s wedding was phenomenal. They were each other’s first ever relationship and obviously each other’s one true love! Having had a long-distance relationship through college, they were so ready to tie the knot and wouldn’t let anything, even a pandemic, stop them! Their wedding was intimate and full of laughter, dancing, drinking, and love all around.
Keanna & Kaleo had their ceremony in the same exact church as her parents and her grandparents!! Isn’t that SO cute?! This is the historic St. Raphael church, the oldest catholic church on the island of Kaua’i! While this ceremony was history in the making, it was also extremely emotional. The moment that Kaleo saw Keanna, tears started streaming from his eyes, and the same exact thing happened with Keanna! Talk about knowing you are marrying your true love.
After we took family photos and bridal party photos around the beautiful church grounds, Keanna, Kaleo & I went to one of their favorite spots to take some more intimate bride and groom portraits.
Keanna and Kaleo’s reception was to die for!! While they originally had plans to rent out a venue, the pandemic forced this to change. However, I don’t think it could’ve gone any better. They ended up having it in their very own backyard! Everything was done with the help of their families, and the majority of everything was DIYs, and everything turned out to look so professional. Keanna ordered and created all her flower arrangements, she handcrafted her own wedding jewelry, and her brothers and dad built the arch that was over their sweetheart table! It all came together so well that you’d think they planned weddings for a living!
